I have heard that in the past Hyundai cars were known to be cheap starter cars. However, both reviews on the internet and peoples' anecdotes I've heard say that their more recent cars are surprisingly reliable considering their low price. For example, my coworker is in the market for a car, and might buy a new one. She is looking at a new Hyundai Accent hatchback. My other coworker drives one, has owned it since 2007 and has never had any problems and says she quite likes it.
Is there anybody here who has owned a 3rd generation (2005 and up) Accent for some time and could vouch for their reliability, performance, etc.?
I have a 2008 accent. I am very happy with this car. It is dependable and economical.
I got it when gas was close to $4 last year. I hard ever use my truck that is how good this car is. I would recommend one to anyone.
