I am relatively new to the site but I must say that there seems to be a major trend on the site to give glib one line answers that leave me with the uneasy feeling that people are doing so just for their own ego. Think about it who cares how many points you have except yourself. Big deal! So are we being used by marketing guru ploys?
There again it may just be an innate need of the masses to connect with others. And the marketing gurus know that.
Having said that there are some funny characters out there who break the monotony. Then there are the minority of sincere people who would like to convey their views in a intelligent manner, whether you agree with them or not.
Like lots of marketing today I think the backroom boys at Yahoo Answers are using the subtle marketing mechanism of "positive feedback" by playing to consumers human wants. In other words they keep the answers flowing in and give you points for making their site viable. They know what most people want and the’ve no doubt studied it. As such it can tends to detiorate into a generalized hub bub town hall forum. Maybe Internet sites like this have largely replaced town hall forums just like email has supplanted "snail mail".
This state of affairs is reinforced by giving points to anyone and everyone whatever the quality of their answer. And to loose points for asking questions well I’m just in disbelief about that.
¢нαяℓιє вяσωη says;
"As to the issue of why it costs points to ask a question,the answers to this question in the link below puts it best:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…"
I say;
yes I undertand what the link says but it is all one-sided.
You can have pointless answers ( driven by the inane motive of scoring points) as well as pointless questions.
Everybody has questions but the "positive feeback mechanism" used by Yahoo recognizes that people by and large need an incentive to answer someone’s question that they don’t know from a bar of soap.
Well stated.Yes I agree with you that many members answer questions giving one and two line answers just for the sake of obtaining the two points and not to help the asker out by giving an intelligent,correct and well researched answer.
As to the issue of why it costs points to ask a question,the answers to this question in the link below puts it best:

Edit:I recommend that you post your questions,opinions and suggestions on the Yahoo! forum.You will get some feedback from the very knowledgeable members there.You can just copy and paste in your main question.You can also respond to any feedback you get by continuing the thread and making additional postings.The link to the forum is below:

I would be a newbie to affiliate marketing and am looking for a good resource to learn about the business. I know there are so many different approaches. Yeah I know that MMM charges $97 a month for the services, but the service look very informative. Can anybody elaborate about MMM. I am quite aware that any business takes money to make money. I am expecting for be a multi cazillionaire over night by no means. But I see no reason that I couldn’t make a extra $500 a month if I just knew where to start. I know you can make money on places like Ebay because I have in the past but I do not want to handle any products. So can anybody lead me in the right direction.
He’s not bad…I have looked into some of his training methods, but most of it are things you can learn on your own thru various sites at no costs. I recommend if you’re gonna learn from a guru…why not go the #1 internet guru himself, Ewen Chia. Not sure if you have heard of him, but he’s a super affiliate and what he teach is absolutely amazing. All of the affliates out there definitely recognize who he is and at one point learned from him.
You can find more out about him at http://www.Super-Affiliates-Club.com.
Hope that helps and good luck.

Which is the most accurate and the fastest (greater than 1000 FPS with LEAD pellets) break barrel air rifle in market?
I have read several reviews on the internet but couldn’t decide which one to go for. The Gamo Hunter Extreme has good power (~1600 FPS with PBA) but accuracy lacks. The Walther Talon Magnum is also good.
Please advice…
Gamo Hunter Extreme claims ~1600 FPS with PBA and ~1250 FPS with Lead….. there good videos on youtube from pyramidair which actually test the speed and accuracy….but the accuracy really lacks
what about the other break barrel rifles in market like benjamin, crossman, walther talon magnum etc…their speed and accuracy??
Well, to be honest, I’d like to see an actual chronograph result that shows an air rifle shooting a lead pellet 1000 fps. I have a chronograph, and have shot several air rifles through it that are supposed to be rated at 1000 fps, and never did get that result with any kind of lead pellet.

Hi,
Knowing that through the internet I am able to reach an unlimited audience who might be interested in something that I do for business, I would like to kindly ask anybody of genuine and experienced internet marketing experts (gurus) or webmasters to effectively advise me how to set up such an opt-in list generator bearing in mind that I do not have any website but only an ordinary work engagement along with some ideas which I am very enthusiastic and ambitious to develop and expand through a successful online set up that will initially not cost me any investment.
In advance Many Thanks.
you can get free web space at windows live spaces or myspace to get started and i would also suggest a gmail account for email because you get lots of space and other functions like search and filters etc.
