A Clever Way Copy Writers Can Strengthen Their Marketing: See Yourself As the Product!

Automated Blogging

When I teach my copywriters and other coaching students how to package themselves, I use a specific formula to get them from “ground zero” to a “complete package.” Although there’s not enough room to share the entire process here, I can highlight three of the most critical elements of crafting your own personal freelance lead-generation machine.

The first step requires you to see yourself as a product or service, because in fact, that’s what you are. Clients come to marketing agencies because they want to sell a product or a service. If you think of yourself in the same vein, as a commodity, it becomes more apparent what you must do in order to market yourself effectively.

Fill Out A ‘Creative Brief’ With Yourself As the Product

An exercise I often suggest to my coaching students is to fill out a Creative Brief with themselves as the service to be sold. (A Creative Brief is a powerful document that defines every aspect of a direct marketing promotion. There are many for free on the Web.)

A good Creative Brief forces you to answer such basic questions as “Who is my target market?” “What is my unique selling proposition?” and “What is my offer?”

By getting a firm grip on what your long-term goals are (e.g., earn $100,000 per year as a white paper specialist, or build a first year psychology practice), you’ll have a better idea of what markets you should target for your promotions.

Determine Your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)

For many of my coaching students, newcomers as well as established pros, the process of creating a USP is often daunting, then enlightening, and when we’re finished, exhilarating!

When I ask “What sets you apart from everyone else in your space?” my students usually don’t have an answer. And off we go on a discovery mission. Often it takes just one to two coaching sessions for the two of us to discover and develop a powerful USP, even for students transitioning from careers that seem entirely unrelated to the field of business they’re working in, or transitioning to.

This is one of my favorite moments in coaching, because it’s usually an “ah ha” moment for my students. Once they have a well-defined USP, they can suddenly see the power of their own positioning. No longer will they feel insecure when dealing with potential clients, because they can say with confidence, “THIS is why you should hire me above all others!”

Your unique selling proposition should become the underlying message throughout all of your marketing materials.

Do You Have An Offer?

Every direct mail promotion has an offer. That’s a fundamental of direct marketing. And you, as a solopreneur, should be using the strongest offer you can come up with.

Your offer is the “lead capture mechanism” of your business. If you support your USP in your offer, you strengthen your positioning with “proof.”

For instance, I trade on a history of higher than average response rates. I support it with my free “Direct Response Scorecard,” which lists the results of many of my direct mail and online projects. In a separate document I add even deeper support with Case Studies of many of the “mentions” found in my Scorecard.

Whatever you decide to offer potential prospects, make sure it’s something they’ll want, rather than something you’d like to create. Since few copywriters offer a Direct Response Scorecard, I believe that my offer plays upon a certain level of curiosity.

My coaching students offer valuable free information, such as a White Paper or free report. In every case however, their offer supports their USP. By creating an offer that supports your USP, your marketing materials can do most of the selling, allowing you to close the sale with much more speed and confidence.

What are the Best Acne Treatment Products?

Automated Blogging

A good acne treatment product is one that reduces the inflammation and the rubor, and soothes the skin as well, without creating any harmful side-effects. A wide range of acne products are available in the internet, which come with the promise of miraculous results. Products that are marketed over the counter may help some patients for whom the conditions are not severe. Serious cases often necessitate medical counsels and stronger prescription strength medications.

The internet is a mine of information on the best acne products available in the market. Sufferers may locate some very useful treatment options. The most common acne products include therapeutic lotions, oil-removing gels, skin-clarifying creams, oil-controlling face-masks, oil-removing cleansers, dead-skin removing scrubs, and so on. Detailed information about their efficacy and prices, including consumer reviews, are also available online. However, it is advisable to exercise caution before making any purchase.

The different acne products have different active ingredients. While some patients may be benefited by the use of certain chemicals, others may not experience any effect at all. For individuals with sensitive skin types, some chemicals may cause more harm than good. Hence, seeking the advice of a medical professional is imperative. Also, one might have to try out several products before locating the product that works best.

Products that are designed to make the skin soft and supple and to dissolve the comedones often contain natural plant oils that are easily absorbed into the skin. Some of the products contain ingredients that have antibacterial properties and help stimulate the inherent cleansing capacity of the skin, as for example, Tea tree oil, Grapefruit extract, and Echinacea extract. Certain ingredients like Aloe Vera extract, Tricolor extract, Rose hip oil etc. are incorporated to diminish the swelling and encourage healing. In order to protect, make the skin soft and further dissolve the comedones, many products contain natural plant oils that are easily absorbed into the epidermis, like Tea tree oil, Rose hip oil, Lavender oil and Olive oil. Damaged skin is reconstructed and sebum is made for fluid with ingredients like Evening primrose oil, Borage oil, Olive oil, Soy oil, Flax-seed oil, Wheat germ oil and Lecithin.

Many products make use of artificial ingredients, like Benzoyl peroxide, adapalene gel, tretinoin and so on. However, these harsh chemicals, although efficient in curing acne, have harmful effects like itching and drying actions. Both of the latter products need prescriptions of certified doctors before these can be purchased.

Oral supplements are also used o provide nourishment to the skin. These include ingredients like Vitamins A, B complex, C, D, E, Folic acid, Flavonoids, Beta carotene, antioxidants like Green tea extracts, Methyl-sulfonyl methane, and minerals like Zinc, Copper, Magnesium, Selenium and so on. Spread of infection and scar formation is prevented using oral products that contain gum guggul extracts.

Internet Marketing: How To Boost Your Online Profits To Its Full Potential

Automated Blogging

Many Internet marketing professionals are focusing on one main strategy to market their products: direct sales. But what they fail to realize is that there are still so much more potential for them to rake in more sales if they concentrate on other areas as well.

Before we go on, let me just touch a bit on direct sales. Also known as front end sales, it refers to the products that are the focus of your sales campaigns. You would create a unique sales page for each product; designed an Internet marketing strategy or two to drive traffic to them, hoping that the flow of visitors will result in some sales; or you would set up an even more aggressive campaign by introducing an affiliate program.

The above strategy is for your direct sales campaign. So is it the only sales strategy that you can use? Of course not, because front end products are not the only items that you can promote. I will share with you two other Internet marketing strategies that will boost your online profits to its full potential: cross selling and backend selling.

Cross selling

This method is perhaps more common of the two. Generally, cross selling involves supplementing your main product with another relevant item to form a sales package.

Take this for an example: you are selling an e-book about online dating secrets. To make your offer more appealing, you would include a report on the best online dating sites available for your potential customers. Packaging your main product and your report together will definitely add more value to your sales pitch

And if you were to sell your e-book for $45, and charge the same for your supplementary report, you would have boosted your profits by a full 100%. How cool is that?

A lot of Internet marketing experts are taking advantage of the cross selling technique to boost the potential of their online profits. And that is why you should always supplement your main product with another side item, and then market them as a package to rake in more sales.

Backend Selling

This strategy is a bit similar cross selling in a way such that your main product is also supplemented by a side item, and then marketed as a package.

The main distinctive difference between the two is that backend selling involves promoting your offers to potential buyers who are already in your customer base. The idea behind this method is that the people from your customer base have already bought from you before, and they have established some form of trust with you. As a result, you would garner more repeat sales from these customers.

Now, this is why many Internet marketing experts agree that the big money is in the list. They should know, because many of their backend sales are conducted through their mailing list.

But first of all, you would need to set up your autoresponder so that it is capable of handling a number of mailing lists under one account. The backend sales process should go something like this: once a once a subscriber makes a purchase, you would transfer him to another mailing list where the preset messages are composed of offers for supplementary products that he or she might be interested in. Simple, yet ruthlessly effective.

The conversion rate of backend selling is so much higher, because you are selling to people who have already bought from you, and they feel comfortable doing business with you.

However, it is important to note that your supplementary offers must be promoted to people who are in your customer base, and not people who are yet to buy from you. Promoting your offers to people who are not yet your customers will not only overwhelm them; they will probably run away from you, never to return.

Many people who are new to Internet marketing are mainly exposed to direct selling as the main income stream for their online business. But what they fail to realize is that there also other methods like cross selling and backend promotion that can effectively increase your profits to new levels.

These two Internet marketing strategies are based on a very simple marketing concept: people who have bought from you the first time, are most likely to purchase other products from you again. So by integrating backend and cross selling into your marketing efforts, you can indeed boost your online profits to its fullest potential.

Which Products to Sell on the Internet?

Automated Blogging

Internet home business beginners are usually undecisive over what products to start selling when they start a web business. Here are some information that might be of help.

There are basically three broad categories of product types:

1) Own Products

Many successful Internet marketers have at least one product they call their own. This is one of the fastest way to get your name out on the web. Having your own product gives you full control over pricing, design, joint venture deals and bonus materials.

If you do decide on creating and selling your own product, your next step would be to choose between portable electronic version or physical version. Most marketers woud prefer the former because there’s no inventory costs. But the most important element is, electronic products like ebooks or MP3s allow for immediate delivery. And this appeals to buyers because they get access to the products instantaneously, satisfying their desire for instant gratification.

One advantage of having your own product means recuiting others (affiliates) to sell for you. You pay them commission only when sales are made. You get tons of targeted visitors but don’t spend a cent on advertising.

However, to recruit good affiliates, even super affiliates, you need to have a set of promotional materials ready for them to use. Don’t invite them to sign up your affiliate program and leave them to fend for themselves.

Of course the product itself must be of high quality or you’ll see refund requests faster than you can sell. Your reputation gets ruined, your affiliates dump you and it’s going to be difficult to regain customers’ trust.

2) Affiliate Products

Like I mentioned above, an affiliate promotes someone else’s products and get paid commission when sales are made. Many Internet marketing beginners will start with this type of selling as it is low costs and some of the pay outs are pretty generous.

But how do you choose which merchant’s products to sell? Many people will look at the rate of commission payout by the merchants to decide WHICH products to sell, but be careful, it may just backfire.

First, always think from the customer’s point of view. Take a good look at the merchant company’s website, does it make you want to buy if you were the customer? Does it have compelling copy to make you click on that “order” button? If the mechant does a lousy job convincing potential buyers, then it won’t matter even if they pay out 90% commission to you. Remember, you have done the work and send visitors to the merchants, all your effort and time are wasted if they fail to convert.

So look for merchants who are helpful and have great sales materials you can use like banners and sales messages. Successful affiliates are usually those who are promoting good merchant products, even with low commission rates.

Please note that this is a brief introduction to affiliate marketing, to learn more, visit Wealth Affiliate.com or Affiliate Classroom. Both offer excellent in-depth coaching and training programs to beginners.

3) Resale Products

There are some products where you can resell after you have purchase it yourself. These products come with what is called Resell Rights. There are “Master Resell Rights” and “Resell Rights”.

Master Resell Rights give you the full right to either sell or give the product away. You can even pass along the resell rights to your customers.

Resell Rights on the other hand, just gives you the right to sell the product, you may or may not give it away and you cannot transfer the rights to your customers. Meaning your customers cannot sell the product like you can.

While this article is not exhaustive, it is hopeful that the information above can help you make a decision on what to sell as a start and then move on from there. Usually Internet marketing beginners will start with affiliate marketing because it costs the least and you have no inventory or customer service to worrry about.

Personally I would suggest you do the same: start with affiliate marketing and get into a coaching program like the Affiliate Classroom. Learn from those who are successful and take action.
