Affiliate Marketing – Write Articles to Get Free Traffic!
If you are considering becoming an affiliate of an online marketing program but have to work on a shoestring budget then you need to be aware of the amazing power of Article Marketing.
Article writing is now one of the best ways to attract free visitors (traffic) to your website and all it takes is the time to write good quality information about whatever product you will be promoting. (This information or “content” being the internet term for the information provided on a website).
If on your website, you have taken the time to include good quality content then you are more likely to attract and keep a visitor on your site and that will increase your chance of them buying your product.
You just need to write the articles about the product or service you are offering and make the information so appealing that the reader is compelled to know more. This will then lead them into clicking on your affiliate link in the body of your article.
What is good content? Well, put yourself in the shoes of your buyer, you are searching for information on a particular product, let’s say lawnmowers for example. You arrive on a site just giving links to a shopping site. Sure, they show plenty of lawnmowers but no real information about the different types except for the price. You still haven’t found the information you were searching for about lawnmowers and the best one to suit your needs.
This can be so frustrating when all that was needed was a well-written article giving information about lawnmowers and the various types, which would have allowed you to make an informed choice. Which website would you buy from, the one that wrote a carefully thought out and researched, informative “content” rich articles, or the one that merely wanted you to click through to a shopping page, having given you little or no help at all! No contest!
As an affiliate, always try to find out as much as possible about the product you are promoting, and write review type articles that are information based. You should sound knowledgeable about your products and be thought of as an expert in your field which will then inspire confidence in your buyers. There is no real secret to selling affiliate products, all that is needed is well-written and informative content.
If article writing sounds too daunting or too time consuming then there are certain affiliate programs that will allow you to use their pre-written articles to promote their products. Remember though, that your articles really should be your own original work, so you will need to amend and modify them in your own words, for your own use. Another good idea will be to use them to inspire your own thoughts and from there, create and write brand new articles to attract free traffic to your website. In this way, you can save loads of time by not having to research from scratch, with the main theme of each article having already, been produced for you.
